Applications are now open for Project Purpose, a program originally designed for graduating high school seniors interested in beginning a career and pursuing advanced training while working. Due to the high demand for employees this year, the application will be available to ANYONE looking to re-enter the workforce.
Imagine Thomasville, in partnership with Southern Regional Technical College, Tisk Task, Thomasville City and Thomas County School Systems have partnered with 10 industries who are committed to helping our community develop the workforce pipeline. The program, consisting of, but not limited to, soft-skills training and OSHA Certification, will kick off with a weeklong bootcamp June 7th-11th at Southern Regional Technical College. If participants complete the program, they will have an automatic interview with each industry.
Participating industries this year include Blackwater Timber, CCH Construction, Check-Mate Industries, City of Thomasville, Cleaver Brooks, Evoqua, Hurst Boiler, Thomasville Toyota and Thomasville Ford.
