Membership
Chamber members working with other Chamber members makes good business sense. Members share common goals for
the economic vitality of our region. They work together on committees and network at events.
Members recognize the importance of investing in their businesses, community and future.

Programs
Agribusiness:
Formed in 1991 to provide more input to the Chamber on ag-related
issues from people directly involved in farming and other ag-related
businesses.
Ambassadors: A volunteer group who serve as goodwill
liaisons for the Chamber, visit members throughout the year, attend
hundreds of ribbon cuttings/ground breakings, and host special events
like Business After Hours.
Economic Outlook Luncheon: An annual economic forum
presented by the Selig Center for Economic Growth, University of
Georgia's Terry College of Business. An economic forecast of how
the Nation's, Georgia's and Thomas County's economies will perform
in the coming year.
Existing Industry: This committee is tailored to the
needs of current industrial operations, and deals with labor relations,
education, drug control and new environmental issues. An avenue
where industries can voice their concerns.
Industrial Development: This group is charged with
the duty of bringing new industry into Thomas County, and encouraging
payroll development.
Leadership:A Community education program to acquaint
existing and emerging community leaders with contemporary and future
issues, needs, services and resources of our city, county and state.
Leadership for the Millennium: The youth leadership
program of the Chamber for high school juniors designed to educate
them on becoming future community leaders through team building
skills, community awareness, and the advantages of staying and doing
business in Thomas County.
VOOM (Voice Of Our Members): An informal meeting the
second Tuesday of each month at 7:45 a.m. Attendees exchange ideas
and business news while networking: VOOM is complemented with a
continental breakfast.
Women's Forum of Thomas County: Forum for professional
women to network. Meetings held second Tuesday of the month.

Business Networking
Business After Hours: Planned mixers to promote networking among Chamber members.
Annual Meeting: Review of the Chamber's accomplishments, presentation
of Citizen's Awards, and Leadership graduation.
Auction/Dinner: Bi-Annual fundraiser for the Chamber of Commerce.
